Private duty nursing (PDN) is hourly, skilled nursing care provided in a patient's home. Private duty nursing provides more individual and continuous skilled care than can be provided in a skilled nurse visit through a home health agency.
Hospice care provides skilled medical staff who help administer medications, assist with activities of daily living, create dietary plans, and provide assistance wherever possible to ensure your loved one's total comfort and maintenance of caregiver well-being. The Hospice team is committed to supporting patients' and families' goals, and encourages families to be involved in all care decisions.
Personal Care Aide Training is an excellent training opportunity for individuals interested in pursuing a career in the rewarding field of Healthcare. Students who successfully complete the training will receive a Certificate from the Medicaid provider of DMAS(Virginia's Medicaid Program).

What is Hospice?
Hospice is a program/support system for anyone who is terminally ill and diagnosed with generally 6 or less months to live.
Hospice care helps terminally ill patients live comfortably, with caregivers providing them with: physical, emotional, social, and spiritual support to the patient and their family/primary caregivers.

The EHCM team will coordinate the ordering, delivery, and set up of all necessary medication, hospice medical equipment and hospice supplies. This allows the patient and their family to focus on their time together instead of worrying about financial concerns or leaving their terminally ill loved one alone to make trips to the pharmacy or medical supply stores. We know your time together is precious.
Hospice volunteers help provide patients and families with compassionate care and support during the end-of-life process. The level of personal connection and support that volunteers provide allows for a greater level of end-of-life care satisfaction for patients enrolled in hospice care.
Pain management is one of the primary goals of hospice care – keeping the patient comfortable and managing symptoms to ensure they have the highest quality of life for as long as they live. Not all patients experience pain at end of life, but recognizing it and treating it effectively is essential.
The hospice bereavement team provides support for family, caregivers and friends involved in caring for the individual. This support starts during care and continues after through our bereavement program. Our Bereavement Program supports hospice families and friends after the death of a loved one.
